What your center has switched on, and how to change it
A childcare center gets its childcare tools switched on for it: check-in and check-out, the care log and daily report, health profiles, the clinic and medication log, and meals and menus. You can see what is on, and switch features on or off for the center and for each room.

What comes on by itself
When you create your first childcare room, Bloomz switches these on for the center and its rooms, unless you already switched them off:
- Check-In/Out, with the kiosk
- The care log and daily report
- Health Profiles and immunizations
- Clinic and the medication log
- Meals and menus
- Family records
Learning tools such as the weekly lesson plan and observations work in every childcare room without a switch. Anything you switch off stays off, including for rooms you add later.
Step 1 — See the center's features
- Open your center and select the gear (Settings), then Features.
- Search for a feature, or filter with the chips such as Most Used, Communicate and Safety & Wellbeing.
- Each row shows whether the feature is on for the center, the default for rooms, and whether rooms can change it.
Some tools have their own page instead of a switch here. Find them in the center's … (More) menu, for example Meal Menus, Clinic Visits, Admissions and Newsletters.
Step 2 — Change a room
Open the room and select its gear. Room Options lists the switches for that room, such as parent messaging and daily activity sheets.
FAQ
- A feature says "Not included in your plan". Contact your Bloomz contact; it may need a different plan.
- I see school features such as Assignments. They are part of every Bloomz group. Switch them off in Features if you do not use them.
