Bloomz for families

Everything your child's school sends you, in one place — in your language.

Bloomz is how your child's school and teachers reach you: announcements, messages, calendars, forms, and payments. You do not need to check several apps or your email spam folder. This guide walks you through setting it up once, then shows you where to go when the school asks you for something.

Start here

About ten minutes, once. Do these and the rest of the year is easier.

Join your child's school or class3 min

Most schools send an invitation by email or text, or give you a join code or QR code. Any of the three gets you to the same place.

Set your preferred language1 min

Set this first. Once it is on, posts and messages from the school arrive translated for you, including ones written in English.

Choose how you want to be notified2 min

Pick push, email, or text, and how often. This is the setting that decides whether Bloomz feels useful or noisy — it is worth a minute.

Check your child is linked to the right classes2 min

If a class is missing, the teacher has to add your child — you cannot add yourself to a class.

Invite your co-parent or another guardian2 min

Each guardian gets their own login. Sharing one account means only one of you gets notifications.

Your first week

Find your way around. Nothing here is urgent.

Where things live

One bar along the bottom changes with where you are. Anything you cannot see there is under More, grouped into four sections. Your own settings are in the left-hand menu.

You can react with an emoji, or comment. Comments are visible to other families in the class; a direct message is not.

Message your child's teacher2 min

A direct message goes only to the people you pick. Teachers see it in their inbox, not in the class feed.

Add the school calendar to your own calendar3 min

You can subscribe once and have school events appear in the calendar app you already use.

Don’t see this? The subscription link is per person, not per class, even though the screen is labeled Group Settings.

When the school asks you for something

The things schools most often need families to do.

Complete an enrollment or registration packet

Packets arrive as a checklist. You can stop partway through and come back; nothing is submitted until you sign at the end.

Don’t see this? Only appears if your school uses Registration & Enrollment. If a packet was sent to you, you will see it here.
Before you submit a packet

Submitting is final and there is no confirmation step — check the answers before you sign. If you have another child at the school, you can reuse your household and contact details rather than retyping them.

Pay a school fee or set up autopay

You can pay by card or bank account. If your school passes on the processing fee, it shows as a separate 'service fee' line before you confirm — the amount shown at checkout is an estimate until the payment goes through.

Don’t see this? Only appears if your school has turned on Payments.
Sign up for a parent-teacher conference

You pick from the times the teacher has opened. If you need an interpreter, say so when you sign up.

Upload a health or immunization document

The school marks it verified once someone has checked it. Some documents expire and you will be asked again.

Don’t see this? Only appears if your school uses Health Profiles.
