Get AI help writing a post

Bliss is Bloomz's AI writing assistant, built into the post and message composer. Give it a rough draft, and it can rewrite it at a target reading level, adjust the tone and length, or offer alternative phrasings — you stay in control of exactly what gets sent.

Before you start

Your school or district needs AI Assistance turned on, and your composer content is what Bliss works from — write at least a rough draft first, since there is nothing for it to improve on a blank composer.

Step 1 — Write a draft in the composer

Start a post or a message as usual and write a rough draft — even a sentence or two. In the toolbar under the text box, select Bliss.

Step 2 — Choose the kind of help you want

The BLISS Writing Assist sheet opens with four tabs: Reading level (rewrite for a target grade — 3rd, 5th, 8th or 10th), Tone & length (chips for tone — warm, neutral, urgent, formal, encouraging — and length — shorter, same, longer), Message mentor (returns up to three alternative phrasings, each with a one-line reason), and Custom instruction (a free-text box for anything else — "translate the tone for a first notice," for example). Pick a tab and set its options.

Step 3 — Generate, then Accept, Edit or Reject

Select Generate. Reading level, Tone & length and Custom instruction each return one draft; Message mentor returns up to three, each in its own card. Every draft carries its own Accept, Edit and Reject buttons — Accept replaces your composer text with it, Edit opens it in an editable field first, and Reject clears it so you can try again. Nothing is ever sent automatically; Bliss only ever hands text back to the composer, and you still select Post or Send yourself.

Watch out: if Bliss can't generate a result — a busy moment for the writing service, for example — the sheet shows a plain error and your draft in the composer is untouched. Try again, or keep writing without it; nothing you already wrote is ever lost.
