The wrong child is linked to my account

Seeing a child who is not yours — or missing one who is — is a connection problem in the school's records, and the school can fix it quickly.

Tell the school straight away

This one is worth reporting even if it does not inconvenience you. If another family's child is linked to your account, you may be able to see information about that child that you should not, and their family may be missing updates that were meant for them. Schools take this seriously and can correct it the same day.

Contact the school office rather than the teacher — the link lives in the school's records, not in the class.

What to tell them

• The address you sign in with.
• The name of the child who is showing incorrectly.
• Your own child's name and class.

What not to do

• Do not create a second account to get to the right child. That leaves the wrong link in place and adds a second account to untangle.
• Do not remove the class from your side. It does not break the underlying link, and it removes your access to the class you do want.

While you wait

If the incorrect child's information is visible to you, avoid acting on it. It is not your record to correct, and the school will remove the link.
