RSVP to an event

When an event asks for an RSVP, your answer tells the organizer how many people to expect — and you can change it any time before the event starts.

Before you start

Any parent, teacher, or staff member can RSVP to an event that has RSVP switched on. Not every event does — if you don't see Going / Not going on the event, the organizer didn't turn on a headcount for it.

Respond to an event

Open the event from your feed, or from the class Calendar on its day. An event with RSVP turned on shows a Going / Not going row near the top — select whichever fits. There is no separate Submit; your answer saves the moment you tap it, and the organizer sees the count update right away. What you see is everyone's answers so far, not just yours — useful if you're deciding based on how many others are going.

Change your answer

Open the event again any time before it starts. Your previous answer is highlighted; select the other option to switch — no confirmation needed.

Watch out: once the organizer sets a sign-up cutoff or turns on Close Sign-Ups, RSVP responses freeze along with everything else on the event — you won't be able to change your answer after that point.
