BloomzWhy you see a "Bloomz is having trouble" banner
A banner across the top of your feed means Bloomz itself has a confirmed service issue — not something wrong with your account, your device, or your internet connection. Its exact wording is either "Bloomz is currently experiencing an outage" (red) or "Some Bloomz features are experiencing issues" (amber), depending on severity. It usually clears on its own within minutes to a couple of hours.
When it appears — and when it doesn't
This banner only shows while Bloomz has an active, confirmed incident affecting a component it thinks matters to the app you're using (sign-in, push notifications, SMS/voice, or email delivery). No incident means no banner — it fails silently by design, so you'll never see a broken or stuck version of it, only the real thing or nothing at all. This applies to every role, on every plan; there is nothing to configure.
What it means for you
Some Bloomz features — posting, sending messages, loading new notifications — may be slow or briefly unavailable for everyone, not just you. Anything you already had open, like a message thread you'd already loaded, stays readable.
What to do
Select View status on the banner to open Bloomz's public status page and see what's affected. Avoid repeatedly refreshing or resending the same post or message while it's up — that won't speed up recovery and can create duplicates once service returns. You can also dismiss the banner with its close (×) button; it won't reappear for that same incident once dismissed. Once the underlying incident clears, the banner disappears on its own the next time Bloomz checks status.
Watch out: truly urgent, time-sensitive school information (a lockdown, an early dismissal) should still be treated as urgent by your school through whatever backup channel they use — a service banner is not a reason to assume a real emergency notice was delayed.
