Your account is suspended — what that means and what to do
If you cannot sign in and Bloomz says your account is suspended, here is what that means and what to do. This article is for the person who is locked out — if you are an administrator wanting to suspend or restore someone else, see How do I suspend a member?
What suspended means
Your account still exists, with your history intact. It has been switched off, so you cannot sign in until it is switched back on.
Who can undo it
Your school or district, not Bloomz support. Suspension is an action a school administrator takes, and only they can reverse it — support cannot override a school's decision about its own account. Contacting them directly is the fastest route, and usually the only one.
Common reasons
- You left the school, or your child did. Accounts are often suspended at the end of a year or when a family moves on.
- A roster import removed you. If the school's student system no longer lists you, the next sync can suspend the account automatically — this is the most common cause, and it is usually a data mismatch rather than a decision anyone made.
- A duplicate was cleaned up. If you had two accounts, one may have been suspended deliberately. Check whether you can sign in with a different address.
What to say when you contact the school
Give them the exact address you are trying to sign in with, and ask them to check whether the account is suspended and whether you are still on the roster. If it was an import that removed you, correcting it at the source stops it recurring next term.
