Parent FAQs: signing in and your account
Quick answers to the questions families ask most about getting into Bloomz and keeping their account straight. Each answer links to the full article for the exact steps.
I forgot my password. How do I get back in?
Select Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and Bloomz emails or texts you a reset link, but only if your account actually has a Bloomz password — accounts that sign in with Google, Microsoft, Clever or ClassLink have none, and a reset request for one of those sends nothing. See Reset your password for the full walkthrough, including what to check first if nothing arrives.
My invitation or join code isn't working. What do I do?
Codes expire, can only be used once, or are tied to a specific class — typing an otherwise-correct code that has already been claimed by someone else is the most common cause. See Your invitation or join code isn't working for how to tell which of those you're hitting and what to ask your school for next.
I got an invitation I never asked for — why am I getting messages from Bloomz?
Your school added you using the contact information they have on file for your child, which is normal even if you never signed up yourself — you don't need an account to receive it, and you can also decline it. See "I didn't sign up for Bloomz" — you got an invitation you weren't expecting for how to tell a real school invitation from spam, and how to opt out either way.
The wrong child is linked to my account, or one of my classes is missing.
Both are connection problems in your school's own records, not something wrong with your device or account, and your school's office can usually fix either the same day. See The wrong child is linked to my account and A class is missing from my account — report a wrong-child link right away, since it can also mean you're seeing information meant for another family.
I ended up with two Bloomz accounts. Can they be merged?
Bloomz doesn't merge two people's accounts automatically or through a self-serve button today. The practical fix is usually to stop using the extra one so messages don't split between them; see Duplicate or merged accounts for when that's enough and when you need support to move history for you.
Bloomz says my account is suspended. What do I do?
Suspension is switched off, not deleted — only your school or district can turn it back on, not Bloomz support, and it's often caused by a roster import that no longer lists you. See Your account is suspended — what that means and what to do for the most common causes and exactly what to tell your school's office.
I sent a message to "Bloomz Support" — did my child's teacher see it?
No. A message you send inside Bloomz only reaches whoever you actually picked as the recipient — there's no shared inbox that forwards to a teacher on your behalf. If you meant to reach your child's teacher, open a new message and choose them by name; see Message a parent, a student or a colleague for how picking a recipient works.
Is Bloomz down right now?
If Bloomz has a confirmed, active issue, a banner appears across the top of your feed saying so — no banner means no known issue. See Why you see a "Bloomz is having trouble" banner for what the banner does and doesn't mean, and what to do while it's up.
